Pals For Life

In January 2023, 1853 Communications began working with Pals For Life. Pals For Life is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing companion animal programs to people who need them so much. Pals For Life hired 1853 with the purpose of executing an event to garner donations and general awareness of the organization. In addition, they asked us to do an audit of their marketing materials and offer ways that they might reach a younger audience.

As a group, 1853 Communications planned an event that brought Pals For Life’s resident Snoopervisor, Smart T. Pants to campus. The name of the event was “Smart T. Pants Birthday Paw-ty.” This event was held with the hopes that attendees would become interested in Pals For Life mission and also donate to the organization. In addition to an area for attendees to meet Smart T. Pants, there were three stations that featured cupcake & frisbee decorating, lawn games, and a registration table where attendees were entered into a raffle to win a Squishmallow. In addition to the event, the entire team presented a Public Relations Plan to the Pals For Life Executive Director, Peggy Schmidt. The plan re-capped the event and offered suggestions for updates to the marketing materials, and ideas for how the organization could reach a younger audience. You can view the presentation here.
